Cheikh Al-Hajj Saite Abdullah Sall is a religious and humanitarian leader who has dedicated his life to worshipping Allah and serving humanity.Born in Sokone, Senegal on January 15, 1948, Cheikh Sall pursued studies in the Qur’an, Islamic Law, the Humanities, English, French and Arabic. He is a respected religious leader and the President of the humanitarian NGO, AssidiqiWaSadqin, in Dakar, Senegal.

As a young man, Cheikh Sall served on a merchant ship for two years, and lived in Copenhagen Demark and Paris,France while studying and working to support himself and help his family in Senegal. In 1973, he immigrated to the United States. During the twenty-three years he resided in America, Cheikh Sall served in the

following pro-bono capacities:

♦ Founding Member of the National Association of Senegalese USA.

♦ Vice President of Economic Development, African American Islamic Institute (AAII)

♦ President, African Islamic Center

♦ President, Federation of Tidiane in the United States

♦ Member, Executive Committee, Islamic Cultural Center of New York

♦ Producer of the restored, enhanced and reproduced 19500s-1960’s

♦ Translation and Commentary of the Qur’an by CheikhAl Islam Cheikh Ibrahim Niass.

CheikhSall’s service within these religious and cultural institutions in New York drew the attention of NPR radio, the New York Times, and the municipal authorities of New York City, who sought his advice regarding police relations with the Muslim community.

 Motivated by the desire to provide electricity to rural communities throughout West Africa, CheikhSall established the first African company in the United States to offer Solar Energy. For his groundbreaking entrepreneurial effort, CheikhSall was Interviewed by Radio France Internationalin1996.

Since returning to Senegal and assuming the presidency of AssidqiWaSadiqin in 1996, Cheikh Sall’s leadership has resulted in the following accomplishments:

• Establishment of the Cheikh Ibrahima Sall Health Center
• Construction of the Institute Maslakul Houda
• Administrative Competency
• Completion of the Mosque
• Initiation of construction of Schools
• Acquisition of NGO status from the Republic of Senegal

Cheikh Sall continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to serving humanity in keeping with the teachings of Islam.
